All Paul has to say is "What's not to love?"

A Snowy Friday Morning

No pics today....they'll follow, but finally the kids are back to school! Waaay too many cancelled bus days this week! Michael and I hit the slopes for opening day at Blue Mountain yesterday. My calves were screamin' and trying to break in new boots. OW!
Update on Paul....his only concern is avoid sunstroke. He's still in Hawaii, in his 3rd month. Aren't I the best wife EVER???!!!!

A Rainbow, a Birthday & a 1st Day!

Well, you'd think I fell off the face of the earth. Sort of....I've been in heaven and now that summer is over, I'm sort of back. Heaven of course being Blue Mountain. Since we've moved here, we've had the best family time ever! Check out the rainbow I saw this a.m. It was soooo big that I couldn't get it all, but I can honestly say it's the prettiest rainbow, I've ever seen!
David's 8th birthday is today. We celebrated with what he wanted, a strawberry cake. He's on a strawberry kick lately, ever since he picked his own in June.
It was also Michael's first day at his new high school, and Ava's first day of SK.
To top this day off, Paul and I spent it "lounging", then took the bike to town and tooted around. So much fun!
Pics of everything below....except the "lounging". ahem.

April Mingle

It's been awhile since I've posted. Been very busy as we're getting ready for a move. Went away this weekend and enjoyed the whole family. We went to a trampoline place, so here's our attempt at releasing some "kid energy". They're a little blurry, but they're action shots! What I'm also posting a pic of is a beautiful card that was sent to me from Noreen, all the way from Victoria. We're in a card swap this month. She did an amazing job, so I thought I'd show you all. I just love this Tilda stamp. She's so sweet.

Tilda Swap

Arrived home late Saturday night after a couple of days at Scrapfest in Kitchener. I'd show you pictures, but d'uh, I forgot my camera. Well, it was great fun. Lots of chatting, shopping and munching. Not too much scrapin' tho. Hmmmm. Today, I just finished this card for a card swap I'm doing on my Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. I send it out, and the best thing is that I receive one in my mail too!

Mail Surprise

Look what I received in the mail today from the ladies at Magnolia-licious wishing me a happy birthday. Another pretty Tilda. She's actually suspended and swings back and forth. Too cute.

My First Tilda Post

Well hold the phone and stop the presses. I finally have the courage to post my very first Tilda card. I've done this card for an internet friend who's son was critically hurt in an accident. I've never met her, but felt the need to send my thoughts to her. She's into Copic markers, so will appreciate the "colouring". I felt a little guity playing in my craft room with the sun shining so beautifully. I got over it!

My First Tilda Birthday Card

Hello Everyone,
I'm sooo excited doing this post. I opened the mail today, only to find the most beautiful birthday card from my newest friend in the UK, Caroline Weir. We're email buddies and share the same addiction. She not only sent me this beautiful card, but stamped images for me to use, and a new stamp from Magnolia! What a wonderfully kind person. I love her work. See for yourself! Thanks again Caroline!

Love That Butt

Check out her butt! The minute I saw this stamp, I KNEW I had to have it. Just brand new to Copic colouring, butt, I had fun.

Valentines Day Treat

I finally did the layout of a beautiful bouquet of cupcake roses that I got the family for Valentines Day. Much better than real roses. They didn't last as long though. Hmmm......

Our Big Trip

Well, looking at the pictures, guess where we went this weekend? Yup, Sudbury. Actually took a great trip to Elliot Lake and then on the way home, stopped at the mines in Sudbury. We took a tour and spent over 4 wonderful hours there learning lots! My version of home schooling. The kids didn't want to leave. We had a load of fun.

Fun With Punches

Here's a card I "lifted" from another talented lady. Sorry can't remember who, but loved it. I used SU punches and cut them to look more like a daisy, the cuttlebug swiss dots and a MS leaf and branch punch. Had fun making this nice Easter card. Check it out!

My First Copic Post

Ok, Ok, I'm posting my very first "colouring" card. I did a fairly quick version of this card, so it's pretty simple. Just wanted to see if I could do it. So....here it is.

Blog Candy

Hi there,
Wanted to let you know what's new and exciting. First of all, check out this blog candy! http://papermoments.blogspot.com/2010/03/blogaversary-celebrating-my-first-blog.html Lots of freebees to get in on.
Also, haven't posted for a bit as I'm practicing with my new Copic markers. Not confident enough to put anything up yet. I'm my worst critic. We'll see. Time to step out of my comfort zone.

Feeling Patriotic

I'm watching the 2010 Closing Ceremonies of the Vancouver Winter Olympics. I'm sad it's over, but what exitement 2 hours ago when our boys won GOLD in hockey. Woo hoo Canada for the highest gold medal count of any country ever!!!! Here's a layout using Michelle Zindorf's wonderful brayer technique. My first attempt, so be nice!

Paper Flowers

Here's my first attempt at paper flowers and the fold out card idea that I got from Splitcoaststampers.com

First Time

Hello again. Forgot to mention in my post that this is my very first attempt at blogging. I'm really excited to learn more and become a bit more technical. More pics will be added as they're done.

I finally took some time to make a very special card for a very special person, my Grade 8 teacher, Mr. McFee. I have always had great thoughts about him and he was the one teacher who made a difference in my life. I was able to track down his address and now am sending him this simple card. I LOVE my Cricut.
